Anderson targets series whitewash

English speedster James Anderson has stated that the England Cricket Team has no sorrow for the perils of the Australian side and has added the team is gunning for a clean sweep of the Ashes series.

Speaking to a local newspaper, Anderson stated that they team doesn’t feel any sympathy and mentioned that they are targeting a 5-0 white wash of the Aussies and each member of the team is eager to put his 100% in each of the games left to achieve that.

England lost the 2006/07 Ashes series 5-0 to Australia Down Under and the Three Lions have a great chance of setting the records straight, having already gone up 2-0 in the series with some scintillating displays against a below average Kangaroos side.

And Anderson has mentioned that the nightmare memories of that series have helped the England Cricket Team, particularly in the last couple of Ashes series. It was because of that bookies were offering all sorts before the series began.

And he hopes that the team can inflict the same thing on the Aussies, adding that losses like these make it difficult for any team. The English pacer, who is currently the joint highest wicket taker in the series along with spinner Graeme Swann will be more than happy to clinch the series at his home ground in Old Trafford in the third test.

Anderson also mentioned that team is in a great position and everyone is more or less happy with the sort of cricket they are playing but there is still room for improvement. The Lancashire man believes Australia will also mount a strong challenge and it will make for a very interesting test match in Manchester.

Regardless, however, Anderson thinks the England Cricket Team is in fine form and is capable of withstanding any power in the world at the moment and will go all out for the win.
